This leopard printed faux fur originates during the 1960s. would have been made by hand by ateliers for Astraka and represent an important part of the artisanal history during this time period in the London fashion scene in the sixties and would have been sold in Harrods and Selfridges
This one has a wide collar that is rounded off at its edges. The sleeves are long and the waist nips in a bit and the skirt of the coat flares out from under that and to add to the heritage of the coat and that 60s flare feel. Also comes with its original belt in excellent condition.
Lined in a silky deep brown rayon and closes with thebuttons indicative of the 60s era with a double breasted fasten. The pelt isstill supple and glossy.
Leopard print coats from this era and this quality are rare find and this one is a testament to the quality of that era.
