Vintage 1960s Hostes Gold Brocade and Black Crepe Maxi Dress

This gorgeous hostess outfit dates back to the 1960s, and it is just what the stylish hostess would have worn when throwing a killer cocktail party! Today it is equally relevant and chic to those how loose the quintessential bohemian vintage look given the gold brocade shirt and belt. The skirt is almost to the floor with a slight A line. The bodice is cut from crepe and skins the body with a lovely high fold m and sleeves that zip at each cuff cinch in at the cuffs to give a balloon feel.  But the belt is what adds to the uniqueness and vintage feel of the dress with its oversized baroque wood buckle that ties with a bucks to the desired waist size at the back allowing the dress to be worn by sizes 8 and 10. It is of course the skirt that is the star on this one - a baroque pattern is created by swirls of gold and silver and gold lurex thread

It sparkles and gleams in candlelight and is really quite wonderful. Excellent condition
