A rare and exciting addition to Overdress Vintage an exquisite piece of  Asian cultural and historical fashion, an artisanal embroidered Jacket from the Akha of North Thailand. This mid-20th century jacket is handmade and handwoven indigo dyed cotton with brightly coloured cotton embroidery and applique. This is a women's jacket from the Akha, an important minority group of people originally from Yunnan, who migrated into Thailand mainly at the end of WWII.  The creation of their bright clothing is an integral part of their an important part of daily village life. This piece is meets our high quality standards and in in our usual clean and pristine condition. There  is a slight variation to the tone of the of the cotton applique on the front of jacket but this is consistent with the age this bohemian vintage piece and does not detract from this special vintage piece.
