RETURN & REFUND POLICY UK ORDERS

At Overdress Vintage we we understand you may not want your item and wish to return.

We have a simple return policy, you have 14 days to return and we have up to 14 days to refund the cost of the item you paid. The original shipping charges will not be refunded.

  • You have 14 days from the day/date your item is delivered to you or your postal depot,  to cancel your return. As a small company we would be greatly appreciate if you could do this as early as possible. 
  • You then have up to 14 days (inclusive of weekends and bank holidays) to return the item to us in the same condition it was provided to you. You are also responsible for arranging the postage an.d payment of the postage and we recommend using a trackable service
  • When the item is received the our office and subject to the return being approved the refund will be returned to you  when the item is received back tour office (this is consistent with the UK statutes on online returns), our average processing time as a small business  is 10 working days but no later than 14 days working days.  Please note we are a small company and cannot expedite this time frame. 
  • If you have received complimentary delivery on your order this will be deducted from your final refund, as a small business we cannot provide free delivery for orders that are cancelled.
  • The price of the item will be refunded, this does not included the carriage you paid for the item to be sent to you. 
  • Day 1' is the day of delivery, or day of first attempted delivery if more than one attempt at delivery was required.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ARRANGE A RETURN

  1. Please email or contact us notifying your order cancellation request for a return to hello@overdressvintage.com and we will advise you of our return address
  2. After you have emailed to cancel your order and indicate your intention to return the item you have 14 days including that date (inclusive of weekends and bank holiday to return the item to our address so please bare that in mind with whatever postage service you choose to use.  We recommend you use a signed for service to ensure proof of delivery and a service that ensures delivery can be made back to us within the time frame of the 14 day period. Please plan accordingly as a small  business we cannot make exceptions for late returns to or lost item. 
  3. Please return your item unworn and returned in the exact same condition it was received (with any labels still intact).  We reserve the right to refuse a return if an item is not returned in its original condition, please ensure it is returned to us in the same condition you received it, it must not be crumpled etc or the return request may be rejected. 
  4. Items must be received back to our office within that 14 day period and no later than 14 days from the day of cancellation so please take account of this when deciding what postage service to use for your return and leave good time - you are responsible to ensure the item is received back within the 14 days.  As a small business it is not possible to accept returns after this period.  
  5. You are also responsible for the return postage cost  and we recommend you return your item to us recorded post to ensure safe return of your item and proof of your return as we cannot provide refunds for items that do not return safely to us.
  6. If your item is later than received  back to our office later than 14 days from the date you cancelled then a refund will not be issued and you will be responsible for the fee to return the item to you. We will retain the item until the postage fee is paid to return the item to you.
  7. If you do not tell us of your wish to cancel your order within that 14 day cancellation period we cannot honour a request for a refund (14 days includes weekends).

As we are a small business, it is not possible to accept any returns after this time period or received later then the 14 days from the date of cancellation.

 

For Orders from the EU

In the EU you have the right to return purchases made online or through within 14  days of receiving your item for a full refund. You can do so for any reason.

You must tell us that you want to cancel your purchase. It is not enough just to send the goods back.  We will email you a model withdrawal form which you can use to tell us about your decision, but you don't have to use it. You can inform us and send back your goods at the same time, for example, by adding a written statement with the goods that you are returning by post, by sending an e-mail

You must send the goods back within 14 days of informing the cancellation.#

We cannot accept late returns past the days so please ensure you use the appropriate postal services for this time frame. 

We will charge you a handling charge of 15.00 Euros to cover our costs for the return.

Our policy is consistent with the EU Legislation

REFUNDS

Once we have received the item and provided they are still in the original condition with all labels still attached, your return will be processed within 3 working days of your item being returned. This may go to 4 days during busy periods .Please note our office is closed on Mondays as we trade and help our customers at the weekend.

You will receive a notification to confirm your return has been accepted and refund has been applied.

The monies will be returned to you within and no later 14 working days from the date your item is returned back to us ( this does not include weekend for bank to bank processing).  This is consistent with your statutory rights and our policy meets the requirements set out in the UK distance selling regulations. Please allow the full 14 working days for the return of funds to complete for the refund as we are a small business we can not expedite this any earlier than 14 working days due to our internal processing arrangements as a small business.

Please also note depending on your payment provider our payment processing will credit the refund back to the form of payment that you used to pay for the merchandise. Please also note, it may take longer for the refund to appear on your payment card statement.  Therefore please allow up to 14 working days for the return of monies to you original payment method upon receipt of confirmation email of your refund due processing times between your payment provider/bank and ours.  We have no control over this process from payment processer to your payment provider.

Our policy is consistent with your statutory rights and is consistent with UK e-commerce distance selling legislation.

FREE DELIVERY

If you have received Free Delivery on your order originally as part of an offer or a good will gesture and you choose to return your item then the Free Delivery charge we have incurred will be deducted from your final return amount. As a small business it is not possible to carry the cost of free delivery if you return the item to us for a refund and the original sale that is cancelled.  We can only provide free delivery on completed sales. Charges will be £4.50 to £5.55 equal to First or Second Class delivery service that was used on your order.  Orders over £100.00 we will used the First Class Delivery service equal to £5.55.                                   

EXCHANGES

We do not offer exchanges, it is not possible as a small business.

Lost and missing  items.

We consider an item as lost if it has not been confirmed as delivered to by our delivery service  you within 14 working days from when we despatched this for the UK and Ireland and 21 days for the EU and the rest of the world.

We recommend you use the tracked and insured service when selecting your preferred postage 

For items marked as delivered with tracking number from Royal Mail or a courier service and confirmation of postage, Overdress will not issue refunds for purchases that are marked as delivered. In cases where a third party has been designated by you to accept the shipment on your behalf, Overdress will also not be held accountable for any missing packages. You are responsible for ensuring delivery is to a secure and place. Please bare this in mind you residence is a multi occupancy building with one letter box.  We are not responsible for items that may go missing or stolen after being confirmed as delivered by our delivery service.  

You are also accountable for checking that your shipping and billing addresses are accurate at the time of purchase. Check all the information before making a payment

We will not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the goods ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control or should you not collect your item from your Royal Mail Depot if it has been sent there for you to collect and you do not collect  or rearrange a successful delivery within the timescale advised on the red card.
