This is bright and versatile caftan in a red cotton blend fabric making it for destination wear for day or night. On this bright red striking simple base is fabulous cotton applique morrocan embroidered cotton applied to the neck and front and down each sleeves and all around the cuffs. The cord work appears to have been hand done in panels and then hand sewn into place onto the caftan. The embroidery is bright white and pops against the black backdrop.
The sleeves are fantastic with a wide cut that really shows off more of the embroidery design.. It has a vibrant maximalist design feeling and really makes a dramatic statement with a slit the right skirt of the skirt. Excellent condition and appears unworn.
